Plasma or blaster rifles are type of advanced weaponry that shoot high-velocity plasma bolts. They work under the same principle as blaster cannons, but without the laser to heat the bolts mid-air.

Plasma rifles are bulky and heavy, with limited battery storage. The rifle is usually the charge of two soldiers, one to carry and fire it, one to carry the clips, and reload it.

The main disadvantages of plasma rifles are their highly limited range (in the tens of meters) and slow rate of fire. However, they are dramatically more powerful than other infantry weapons, and so can be used in open battlefields, especially against armored vehicles.
