Blaster cannons

Blaster cannons are a kind of plasma weaponry. They fire concentrated bolts of plasma, or very hot gas, at around 100-200 mph. 
     The bolt is contained by a spheromak, or magnetic bottle, [1] and kept hot while in midair by an infrared laser. For this reason, they are sometimes called laser cannons, but they are not the same as the other weapons of that name.
