Photon torpedoes are high-explosive warheads, fired using compressed air. When they go off, they shoot a burst of photons (light particles) everywhere, temporarily blinding enemies.

Average TNT equivalent: ~75 g
Range: ~30 feet
Advantages
Tend to do a lot of damage
Disadvantages
Cannot be carried by most planes, range is limited
