Starship design critique thread

Point out flaws in sci-fi ship designs. Specify whether its flaws apply to its role in its universe, or in RW.

The bridge is ridiculous. Why make it so high and vulnerable?


The weapons coverage is poor. Most of the heavy guns are right next to the bridge. In RW, that would mean that an ISD is barely capable of bombardment from the sky, and smaller vessels can easily stay out of the way. The only way to get in a few good shots would be to point the Star Destroyer at the enemy fleet.

Also, the back is tremendously exposed. An enemy ship could just fire a few shots into the engines and damage them severely.

Well, the bridge is kinda exposed. There's only one guy in there but still. One railgun shell and it's over.

The engines look unarmored and vulnerable. Again, railgun hits there would take out the ship.

The whole thing looks flimsy.
