 The combatants are standing too close together.
 Most of the blows don’t even come close to hitting the enemy.
 Both fighters are leaving their heads and legs open.
 Both fighters of course don’t take advantage of the gaps. At that range, if one of them thought to get in a blade lock, the other fighter would lose his arms or legs for sure. Yet they refuse to exploit this.
 There are numerous openings in the defense of both duelists.
 Those spins the fighters perform would be suicide in an actual fight, especially when they are standing two feet apart.
