The second power is the United Federation of Planets of the 2370's, as seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and the TNG-era Star Trek films."
Reliability: 4/10—"Darkstar" (aka Robert Scott Anderson) who runs this site has been described as "insane", and appears to have once (baselessly) accused Mike Wong of StarDestroyer.Net of trying to have him killed (one of Wong's friends joked about it).      That aside, he appears to think that his site is an excellent source of information. He also claims that the effective range of the Millennium Falcon's weaponry is 200 meters, based on the ideas that a TIE fighter is a cube and that a camera cannot zoom in! To list another example, he takes a vague quote about the Death Star's reactor being as powerful as a "small artificial sun" from the ANH novelization to mean that the Death Star can only produce 3.85E26 watts.
     To his credit, he is not one of the people who use the "no laser" argument. However, he doesn't seem to know when he's wrong. (Another more obvious example.)
