Randall Munroe developed this "horse-drag equation" for calculation of the power needed to push through a crowd on a horse.[1]

crowd density (per square meter) x crowd weight per person (in lbs) x horse chest width (in feet) x speed3 (in mph) = power (in watts)

He estimates that the power required to push through the crowd of orcs is 97kW, or 130 horsepower. That's around six times the maximum power output of a horse.[2]

However, what if we plug in the RW figures? A RW horse is currently a vole, so:

775 orcs/m x 0.09 lbs/orc x 0.116 ft x 53 mph = 1011.375

1011 watts is way too much—it's over 1.3 horsepower. I may have made a mistake by plugging in imperial figures instead of metric.

[2]: A horse can do more than 1 horsepower for a short amount of time, as a horsepower is defined by work over a longer period of time.

Smaug smashes through pillars

Smaug body checks though those two pillars with little effort. The energy required to break them into pieces that size is probably about 8 J/cc.[1] The pillars look about 4 feet (30.48 cm) tall, 3 inches (7.62 cm) wide, and 3 inches (7.62 cm) deep.

30.48 x 7.62 x 7.62 x 2 = 3539 cubic cm.
3539 x 8 = 20000 joules (Wall level)

The bridge is not broken into small enough pieces to count as total fragmentation, so I'll use 4 J/cc. The bridge is probably the size of one of the pillars in the last calc.

1770 times 4 = 7000 joules (Street level)

Pulverization value for concrete is 40 J/cc.
10 cm x 2.5 cm x 2 cm = 50 cc
50 x 40 = 2000 J Street level

Wood
I'll use wood values for the whole lower part of the wall, but some might be drywall.
Fragmentation for white fir wood is 3.6542 J/cc.
1 cm x 10 cm x 3 cm = 30 cc
30 x 3.6542 x 109.626 J Human level


2000 + 109.626 = 2109.626 J Street level

About 60 x 60 x 1 = 3600 cc are destroyed.

Scotty, the largest T.rex found, weighed about 9.7 short tons.
Top speed may have been 17 mph.
Plugged the figures into this calculator and got 250000 J, Wall level.
