Smaug (pronounced "Smowg") is an Independent dragon who resides in the far north. In 2033 he destroyed the Dwarf kingdom of Erebor. He is based on the character of the same name from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Like other dragons, he cannot speak—but he is possibly the most intelligent dragon ever.

Species: Unknown Rhamphorhynchoid
Wingspan: 18 feet
Breath weapon(s): Kerosene, diethyl ether
Top speed: At least 30 mph
