Dragons have many different breath weapons, including various types of fire and ice. All the breath weapons discussed below are scientifically plausible.

Kerosene-fire:

Temperature: ~400—1000 degrees F
Advantages: High shot limit
Disadvantages: Not too hot

Methane-fire:

Temperature: ~1,000—5,000 degrees F
Advantages: Extremely hot
Disadvantages: Takes a while to refill

Diethyl ether-fire:

Advantages: High shot limit
Disadvantages: Takes a while to refill

Magnesium-fire:

Temperature: ~1,000—5,200 degrees F
Advantages: Extremely hot
Disadvantages: Takes a while to refill, low shot limit

Acid-fire:

Temperature: ~215 F
Advantages: Highest shot limit, can be refilled relatively quickly, extremely destructive
Disadvantages: Not too hot

Liquid Carbon-dioxide-ice:

Temperature: —78 degrees F
Advantages: Extremely cold, anti-flammable
Disadvantages: Low shot limit

Adiabatic-cooling-ice:

Temperature: Varies
Advantages: Cold, can be refilled very quickly
Disadvantages: Not anti-flammable

Mist-lightning:

Amperage: 2-4 mA
Advantages: Can greatly startle enemies, can be refilled quickly
Disadvantages: Not too destructive, limited range
