The Imperial-class (also known as Imperator-class) is a design of Star Destroyer used by several nations. They are some of the largest and most powerful ships around.
Length: 50 feet
Armament: Usually as follows: 10 heavy turbolasers (1046000 J per shot), 2 heavy railguns (yield of 70g), 6 light ion cannons (yield of 30g), 6 200W dual turbolaser turrets (yield of 200g), 2 dual railgun turrets (yield of 70g), 4 dual light ion cannon turrets (yield of 26g), 2 medium quadlaser batteries (yield of 110g), 4 medium-heavy railguns, optical tractor beams, sonic tractor beams
Top speed: 20 mph (sublight), 30 mph (hyperdrive)
Complement: Varies; usually includes TIE fighters, landing craft, shuttles
Defenses: Steel armor, electromagnetic shields
Each Star Destroyer bristles with weapons emplacements, assault troops, boarding craft, and TIE line starfighters. They are known to be capable of turning beaches to glass by melting them, as well as being able to take on entire fleets of smaller vessels.
